Overview

This policy explains how BRICKS Inc. (“BRICKS”, “we”) handles information when you use the CTOR desktop application and this website (ctor.bricks.tools). It applies to CTOR itself; other BRICKS products and services may have their own policies.

Local-first by design

CTOR is a desktop application. Your projects, sessions, chat history, and workspace settings are stored on your own machine. Project content leaves your machine only when a feature you use requires it — deploying to a device you registered, syncing a cloud workspace you created, or sending a request to an AI provider you configured.

Information we collect

• Account. When you sign in with a BRICKS account, we receive the profile your identity provider shares — typically your email address, name, and avatar — and use it to operate your account.
• Devices and workspaces. Devices you register and cloud workspaces you create are associated with your account so deployments and sync can work.
• Update checks. The app and this site fetch release information from our CDN. Those requests carry standard metadata such as IP address and app version, kept in ordinary server logs.
• Support. Messages you send to support, and the information you choose to include in them.

AI agents and model providers

When you chat with an agent in CTOR, your prompts, attachments, and relevant project context are sent to the model provider or CLI agent you configured — using your own account or API keys. That data is handled under the chosen provider’s own terms and privacy policy. BRICKS does not use your prompts or project content to train models.

This website

ctor.bricks.tools does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your theme and language preferences are kept in your browser’s local storage and are never transmitted to us. Download buttons link to release artifacts on our CDN.

How we use information

We use the information above to provide and secure CTOR and its connected services, maintain your account, respond to support requests, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that run our infrastructure (such as hosting and authentication), with the AI providers you explicitly configure, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account or associated data, contact support@bricks.tools.

Security

Traffic between CTOR, this site, and our services is encrypted in transit, and access to account data is restricted to what operating the service requires.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated effective date.
